In This Week's E-Pistle, You Will Find:
This Sunday's Service: "Trinity Sunday"
The First Sunday after Pentecost is known as "Trinity Sunday," in which we celebrate the "three-in-one" aspect of God: Creator/Sustainer/Redeemer. At this Sunday's Video Worship service, Pastor Sal will be joined by several other UCC ministers who will share words and prayers with us. Message: Rev. John Dorhauer, UCC President. Music: Peter Black and Jeff Spangler.
Tune-in on Sunday at 10 AM via our Facebook page, YouTube channel, or here on our website. Last Sunday's Service
In our lectionary reading for Pentecost Sunday, last week, we heard the story of how the Spirit of God set the hearts and minds of the first disciples on fire. This very same Spirit is alive today, but how do we kindle its spark within ourselves and fan its flames in one another? Tune in to last week's Pentecost service, when we celebrated the Holy Spirit, alive and aflame in our hearts.

"Strengthen the Church" Offering
This Sunday, we will be taking a special collection for the UCC's "Strengthen the Church" fund. The funds raised will help support UCC leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations. Your generosity will plant new churches, awaken new ideas in existing churches, and develop the spiritual life in our youth and young adults. You can contribute to this fund via our online giving page, or you write a check made out to "Douglas UCC" and mail it to P. O. Box 519, Douglas, MI 49406. Be sure to write "STC" on the memo line. Thank you, as always, for your generous giving.
Zinnias Are Planted!!
KUDOS to church member, David Geen, for planting the zinnias in front of the church this year. They are planted in loving memory of Jim Shewell (1948-2021) who with his husband, Leith Letcher, planted the zinnias for many years in front of the church. David was assisted by Scotty Jacobs from Specialty Gardens. Thank you!! We can't wait to see the zinnias in bloom!!

New Air Cleaning Filtration Installed in the Church
Good news for our return to church. With the help of generous church members, our new air filtration units from Surgically Clean Air have been installed in the Sanctuary, ready for in-person church services to begin. Along with new cleaning methods and safety-first service elements, our Church Council has worked hard to make services safer for our return.
