We are actively engaged in social and creation justice, and we are one of the first churches in all of the U.S. to declare itself Open & Affirming, meaning fully inclusive of LGBTQ people in our church's life and ministry. We are known as the church of the Extravagant Welcome.

Our Douglas UCC Pastor and Musicians bring an inspiring message and uplifting music each and every Sunday. Our Pastor Sal Sapienza works with Director of Music, Peter Black, and our special musicians each week to create a moving and meaningful Sunday worship service.

Repose and Reflection. The Douglas Congregational UCC Meditation and Memorial Garden provides a calm and beautiful place for the quiet meditation of the living and the peaceful repose of those who have completed their earthly journey in this life.

The Douglas UCC Retreat House

Be Still and Know. Douglas UCC invites you to listen and discern God's presence in our unique, contemplative, and historic Retreat House. This two-story 19th century home on our church grounds has recently been renovated and reimagined to provide a quiet, comfortable and reflective stay.
