"We Shall Be Free" - Sunday at Douglas UCC
This weekend, we celebrate our nation's freedom, but are all Americans truly free? At our video worship service this Sunday, we will explore what true freedom really looks like from both an earthly and spiritual perspective. Please join us for an inspiring message from Pastor Sal and uplifting music from Peter Black and Brenda Marcy.
Tune in on Sunday at 10 AM via our Facebook page, YouTube channel, or here on our website. Watch Last Sunday's Service:
This little church in Douglas, Michigan, celebrated 30 years (!!!) as an open and affirming church this past Sunday, one of the very first churches in the whole country to fully include and celebrate the gifts of our LGBTQ+ church members. Pride Sunday is a deeply personal celebration for us, and we hope you'll enjoy this year's service, along with the beautiful music by Peter Black, Elizabeth Estes, and Dan Pierce. Reading by Eric LeJeune.

Summer Celebration, Online Friday, July 3, 7pm
Our Spring online concert was such a huge success! So our congregants and friends will gather again for another evening of song and celebration, this time to raise funds for our Saugatuck-Douglas Rotary Club, which has been so generous and done so much to help local businesses and workers during the pandemic. Tune in on July 3 at 7 PM by clicking on our Facebook, YouTube, or Website channels! Thank you to our church member, Gemina Petruzzelli, for designing the wonderful poster, which appeared in this week's local newspaper.

Kudos to Dick, Stacy, and Linda!
Thanks so much to Dick Bont and Stacy Honson for planting, and Linda Charvat for growing and donating the lovely new Rhodendrons and Azaleas planted out in front of our wheelchair ramp at the Friendship Hall this week. May will bring some beautiful new blooms next year and every year!
Thank you so much for getting us there!
With a little help from our friends, we were able to surpass 1,100 subscribers to our YouTube Channel this past week!! At 1,000 viewers, YouTube unlocks a number of great tools for non-profit organizations like ours. We can now to place a discreet "collection plate" button at this channel, in case some of our new friends and viewers choose to support the work we are doing here. Thanks for your support and your help in achieving this goal!
