In This Week's E-Pistle, You Will Find:
This Sunday's Service: "Mustard Seed Faith"
In the gospel reading from this Sunday's lectionary, we hear Jesus's "Parable of the Mustard Seed." This parable is found in Matthew, Mark and Luke's Gospels, as well as in the Gospel of Thomas, so the early Christians must have felt it was an important lesson. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. Come join us this Sunday at 10 AM, as we explore how with faith in God and our Divine selves all things are possible!
Message: Pastor Sal. Music: Peter Black and Jeff Spangler. The Sunday morning service will be recorded and posted later in the day to our church's YouTube channel. Last Week's Service: Welcome Home
Last Sunday, we held in-person services at the church for the first time in 15 months! Pastor Sal gave an inspiring message on "Hope & Resilience." We had music from Peter Black and Brenda Marcy. Please enjoy last week's service, above, or click here to read, listen to, watch, and share last week's homily.
You CAN Go Home Again!
Such a joyful noise last Sunday, as our church family gathered in-person for worship for the first time in 15 months! More than 100 people were in attendance! Thanks to church member, Greg Plowe, for capturing all the happy faces with his camera. Enjoy the photos above.
The service was recorded and is available on our YouTube channel and website. Soon, we will have WIFI installed in the church and hope to broadcast our services live for members and friends from near and far who are unable or not yet ready to attend in person. PRIDE Care-A-Van 2021!
Congrats and KUDOS to all our members and friends who helped to create such a joy-filled Community Pride "Care-a-Van" celebration on June 5, spreading pride and love throughout the villages. The paraders included so many of our church members and friends alongside DUCC's own Giant Rainbow Unicorn AND the DUCC Pride Van! Thank you to Bob and Louise Kenny, for decorating and driving their MoHo, and to church members, Greg Harvath, Ruth VandenBosch, Ted Sommer, Craig Drager, and Jim Bailey for helping to organize the event.
Radar Hill Scramble!
The Radar Hill Trail Scramble, celebrating National Trails day and making a debut of the wonderful new local trails map church member Chris Clark put together, was a great success! About 75 people participated, not including the 25 volunteers. They more then met their goal to inform residents and visitors about local hiking trails. Congrats and KUDOS to Chris, Demethrea Terrien, Betsy York, and everyone who made that happen!
